When it comes to fund contribution, we prefer the following.

Preferred Funding Methods

Most advisors prefer to fund directly into the investment account. This can be done in two ways.

Cash or Stock

Transfer/journal stock or cash to the investment account. When you make the transfer, please notify us (AEF) of the transfer.

Investment Account Deposit

You can also deposit checks directly to the investment account.

Checks to AEF

Checks should be made payable in the following way:

Wire Transfer

Provide these instructions to your financial institution:

Notify AEF of the wire amount, name of the wiring institution and the Fund ID or Fund Name at 888-440-4233 or funding@aefonline.org.

Asset & Bequest Options

Complex Assets

A percentage of AEF’s total portfolio consists of complex assets. Contact AEF at 888-440-4233 for details about gifting:

  • Life insurance
  • Closely held stock
  • Limited partnerships
  • LLC units
  • Real estate
  • Cryptocurrency

Send an ACH

It starts with a form and could end in a generous charitable donation.

  1. Get a Change of Beneficiary form from the IRA, 401(k) or 403(b) administrator
  2. Fill it out and return it to the administrator
  3. Send a copy to AEF at newdaf@aefonline.org

Bequests & Trust Beneficiaries

Have your donor contact their attorney to write or amend the will or trust in question. If they need appropriate bequest language, you can direct them here.

Once the will or trust is updated, contact AEF so we can expect the gift.
